Recall Alert: 2022-2026 Kia Carnival

Today’s recall alert involves Kia’s generally solid minivan — the Carnival. This one involves 2022-2026 Kia Carnivals.

Kia has issued a recall affecting more than 140,000 vehicles in the United States due to a potential fuel leak that could increase the risk of fire.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Kia America, Inc. is recalling approximately 141,032 model year 2022–2026 Kia Carnival vehicles. The issue involves a possible fuel leak at the connection between the fuel pipe and the fuel rail.

A leaking fuel connection can pose a serious safety hazard, as it raises the likelihood of a vehicle fire, particularly if the fuel comes into contact with an ignition source.

To address the problem, Kia dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and either tighten or replace the fuel pipe as needed, at no cost to owners. The recall has been assigned identification number SC368 by Kia.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning June 2, 2026. In the meantime, owners will be able to check whether their vehicle is included in the recall by searching their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the NHTSA website starting April 24, 2026.

Customers with questions can contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 for more information.
